The Elders at Tabor Church

Jim Sandberg

Jim and Jennifer Sandberg have been part of the Tabor fellowship since 1991, when Jim came on staff as Pastor. He now serves as Teaching Elder and leads the congregation along with the other Elders. After completing seminary training in 1984, he served for seven years on staff at a large church in Ohio before coming to Tabor.

His primary gift is the passionate and practical exposition of the Word of God in its original context, applied to real life today. He also has a heart to come alongside people as they live that life, to shepherd them in following Jesus Christ.  Jim and Jennifer have four grown children.

Brad Fox

Brad and his wife, Alicia, first met while they were serving together on a short-term mission assignment in the Caribbean. They were married in 2003, and the Lord has blessed their family with 4 wonderful children.

Brad surrendered his life to Christ at a young age. He went on to study Christian Education at Bryan College before becoming a high school Bible teacher in Florida. In 2005, Brad and Alicia moved to the same island where they met and served in the Caribbean for the next 9 years. His primary responsibility was facilitating a Bible training ministry for local church leaders. Brad is continuing his education at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he has completed an MA in Missiology.

In 2014, he came to serve as a pastor at Tabor. His driving passion is to see the people of Tabor grow as disciples of Jesus, and long to go make disciples of Jesus in their own community and among the nations.

Steve Dybwad

Steve has been married to Diane for 31 years, and they have two adult children. He first served in full-time ministry with Real Life Fellowship as a campus minister at Ball State from 1982-1992. Since that time he has worked as an independent financial advisor, while staying active with ministries like the Gideons and the Muncie Mission.

Steve has been at Tabor since 2000, serving as an elder and a Sunday school teacher. He has a love for apologetics and engaging people in thinking deeply and soundly about the Scriptures.

Bill Wehmeier

Bill is the husband of Celest for 35 years. They have three children and currently have five grandchildren. He attended Ball State and has worked in the area ever since. Bill came to know Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord shortly before getting married, and they have been at Tabor for almost 30 years now. He is one of the original group of elders to serve at Tabor.

Terry Ayers

Terry and Terry Lynn have been married for over 35 years. They have nine children and ten grandchildren.  He currently works at Eli Lilly.

The Lord rescued Terry as a young man in high school who was very confident in himself.  Through the influence of a man who discipled him early on, Terry began to grow significantly and place his confidence completely in the Lord.  He is very passionate about teaching the truth of God’s Word, especially toward training the generations to come.
